Social Media Backlash Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms claiming that product pages now present a modified sizing category versus the original listing as a result of the reclassification. The company said the revised method more closely matches other platforms. They have suggested members to check their listings and update the measurements by hand if necessary, causing user dissatisfaction. Size Classification Modifications Earlier, the measurements included a single numeric size and a letter, such as S/8 or M/10. The revised method features an alphabetical indicator and numerical range like S/UK 8-10. In some cases, the measurements have been reclassified - like an L measurement was formerly size 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. User Experiences One content creator, who produces content about larger sizing, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. A different member, located in Scotland, said garments she listed with size 14 tags were appearing on the platform as size 20–22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she explained. Required Changes Another shopper, located in England, explained she became annoyed because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing". "Personally, this is quite irritating, as I'm chronically ill and Vinted sales have been crucial for me since losing part of my income," she stated. Marketplace Information The app has more than 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK. It has become a favored option versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop. This represents another occasion where an unanticipated change to the app has proved unpopular: previously, the platform withdrew an update regarding delivery choices following member complaints.
